InCopy crashes when packaging for InDesign

I have been sending files back and forth between myself (InDesign Mac) and two different editors (InCopy PC) with only a few user related problems until now. I have recently worked with a file that has lots of anchored text frames that I have sent to the editors. They can work on the file just fine, but when they go to package it to return to me, IC simply quits when they choose the option. No error messages or anything, it just quits. We managed to find the content files and zip them to get them back to me, and I created a new file with that one as the template, exported it to INX (to hopefully clean it up of any damage) and then packaged it for IC. It still crashes IC when packaged back. Could it be the anchored text frames at fault? That's the only new thing between the documents that worked and the documents that don't work. What can I do to work around or prevent the crashes. One of my editors in not very computer savvy and is remote to me, and I have a hard time explaining to her how to get the files back to me intact with her changes when IC crashes like that.
